Is it so easy to be narrowminded?

Adding onto the recent stupid sexist shots at Clinton comes a new one from the Time blog, which expands to belittle all women with authority.

Daily Kos:
Pelosi has so far stayed out of the race. But when her top advisor who also happens to be a famous champion of women politicians endorses Obama, does it send the signal: is there room in Washington for both a Speaker Pelosi and a President Hillary?

Feministing:

...

I don't know, is there room enough for two vaginas in DC? *Headdesk*

What adds to the sadness of the blog statement is that the author is a woman, Jay Newton-Small. But there are many examples of women who write nasty pieces on other women in general, and that is beyond the likes of Malkin and Coulter. And it adds on to the baseness that Cheney worked up about men in Congress following Pelosi. First, that men should not beholden to women, and then women will attack each other if they both have power in the same place. Utter crap. And to play on it in any way is a sad way to make ones name or make a living.

My do we let these dumb memes persist?
