Eating principally. OR You are what you eat.

I previously noted the decision by one fast food joint, Chick-fil-a, to spend put it's money behind groups  opposing gay marriage. At a minimum that should make those of us that really do support of marriage equality question why we would wish to eat there.

Now, when it comes to a supermarket or clothing store, where a certain store can be the only real option, I can understand the uncomfortable compromise. But for fast food? That is a choice made.

I don't know, possibly, one could miss the quiet donations to hate? We should find it far harder to miss when the president of the chicken shack goes out to the media to make clear that:
...
...Dan Cathy, president of the popular fast food chain Chick-fil-A, has done just that, saying on a radio show that “we’re inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. And I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude that thinks we have the audacity to redefine what marriage is all about.”
Following backlash after those remarks, Cathy then told the Baptist Press in an article posted July 16 that he is “guilty as charged” and is very “supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit.”
...
Okay, let's see.

They put cash into anti-gay campaigns

They are making it clear that from the top that gay marriage is arrogantly risking smiting from above.

Not really that friendly. Now, the business will say, "Not that we don't want your business and we don't like you!!!" But this business and it's owners are making it clear, they are making it an issue that they are an anti-gay Christians, in support of a Right Wing agenda. They can be proud of this. They can use this to bring in new customers. And they expect a lot of liberals will still walk in the door and spend their money.

But will you? If you are going to eat greasy fast food, can't you find a better option?

And this doesn't have to stop there. ThinkProgress has listed out some of the more notable businesses that are engaged in Right Wing politics, like Chick-fil-a. Ones like White Castle, Marriot Hotels, Charles Schwab, The LA Lakers, and Brawny (part of Kock Industries, along with Dixie, Georgia Pacific, Angel Soft, etc.).

Many businesses take your money, and pay their CEO's huge bonuses. ...They also invest in the Right Wing of this country.

Can you live without some of these corporations?

Might want to consider that.
