When you don't have a record to run on.

There was a certain cutting point Barack Obama made in 2008.
"If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from."
This campaign season Romney and Ryan have been trying to turn this around on Barack Obama. Trying to suggest that any critique of their plans, policy, and positions is just what you do "when you don't have a record to run on."

So, that is a current plan for Team Romney. It's not that our ideas or bad or dangerous, it's just Obama has no record to run, So, nyah!

Well...

Barack Obama has a quick retort.

No record to run on?

That is a fantasy, that is a wish of Romney/Ryan and the GOP that just isn't true.

The downward economic slide was stopped, and we are recovering. Things are still rough, but compared to four years ago, we are better off and more secure. But that's just not what Mitt Romney wants you to notice or feel.

Now, let's get back to just why Romney, Ryan, and the rest of the GOP's ideas are harmful or just plain wrong. And, why the policies that Obama and the Democrats are needed, to advance the economy and preserve rights the GOP will readily strip from us.
